The municipality of Albox has the following villages: El Llano de las Ánimas, Llano del Espino, Llano de Los Olleres, La Molata and Las Pocicas.
Albox has a population of 11042 inhabitants (2010). The name of Albox like many other villages around the Mediterranean comes from the Arabic language and means "The Forest".
In the XIX century, Albox became famous for its looms and pottery crafts.
