Our History
2000: The Birth of Spanish Estate
Once upon a time, two guys named Robbert and Dick were rocking the web design world. Robbert, with his Spanish roots, wanted to create a real estate website for his dad's company in Mallorca. But Dick had bigger plans. Together, they dreamed up Spanishestate.com, the first international property portal in Spain. We were featured in multiple languages, making it easy for everyone to find their dream home. Libercasa, our Spanish-friendly alias, was also a hit with the locals.
2005: Hello, Hispacasas.com!
We decided it was time for a makeover. Libercasa became Hispacasas, and we gave our website a fresh new look. We also tailored our services to other languages, launching Espagne-immobilier.com for our French friends, Spanienimmo.com for the Germans, and Spanskahus.com for the Swedes. Everyone was welcome to join the party!
2010: Bonjour, Franimo!
Dick, our French-loving co-founder, had a brilliant idea: let's expand to France! With his local lingo and a house in the countryside, Franimo was born. We were now connecting buyers and sellers across Spain and France, making international property dreams come true.
2020: Olá, PortugalCasa!
Dick and Robbert weren't done yet. They set their sights on Portugal and launched PortugalCasa. Our network kept growing, and so did the opportunities for our users. Whether you were looking for a cozy casa in Lisbon or a beachfront villa in the Algarve, we had it all.
2025: The Big Redesign
Fast forward to 2025, and SpanishEstate got a major facelift. We relaunched with a ton of new features, making it easier than ever to find your dream home.
