This house is located in the beautiful and quiet village of Carataunas. With a spectacular location and direct access to the property from the La Alpujarra road. Its large entrance gate leads to the parking area for 3 or more vehicles of the same property, making access to the house very comfortable. From the entrance to the house you can already enjoy the unbeatable views with the pool, the covered porch and the barbecue area in front of you. Entering the house, on the main floor we have a large living room with a fireplace presiding over the room, a huge open kitchen with an American bar, a bathroom from which you can also access from the pool, the boiler room, two double bedrooms with windows to the outside of the garden and a full bathroom for that bedroom area. We go up to the upper floor by a staircase with traditional Alpujarra charm and we have on the right a huge bedroom with a en-suite bathroom and with access to the large semi-covered terrace. On the left, another huge bedroom also with an en-suite bathroom and again also with access to the semi-covered terrace. The house has heating in addition to the fireplace and air conditioning in the living room. The entire house is designed with the typical charm of the Alpujarra area, wooden beams on the ceilings, fireplace, windows with wooden double glazing, kitchen counter in beige tone, etc.

Location
The property is situated only a twelve minute drive from Orgiva and another fifteen minutes to the "Three White Villages" the prettiest villages in the Poqueira valley with a range of shops, restaurants and bars. The regional capital of Orgiva, with all facilities is under 12 mins away, the historic city of Granada can be reached in 1hour and 15 minutes, the beaches of the Costa Tropical in under an hour and the airport at Málaga in under two hours.
Visitors looking for tranquillity and the opportunity to spend a few days relaxing will find Carataunas the perfect destination. It is the smallest village in the whole of the Alpujarra region; but its 5km² of land is full of charm.
It´s history is based in the Arabic dynasty; there are the remains of a cemetery called Macabé still preserved in the village. In the centre, the parish church Nuestra Señora de la Paz, contains paintings of great value believed to be the work of Alonso Cano. Also worth visiting is the stately home “Corps”, which was commissioned by Isabel II.
Carataunas is, due to its geographical and physical location, the perfect place to enjoy rural tourism, as well as walks around the area.
