The house is situated in Bárzana in the northern Spanish principality of Asturias, in the county Teverga. The village -named last year exemplary Asturian village- is located (1 km from the county capital, 40 minutes from Oviedo.) in the middle of the National Park ‘Las Ubiñas-La Mesa’ (UNESCO declared ‘natural biosphere reserve ‘.) 400 metres from the ‘Senda del Oso’ –Route of the Bear- where examples of the Brown Bear can be seen.
The county also boasts the best high and low mountain routes, extensive woodlands, waterfalls and climbing schools.
The house is approximately 200 years old and measures 273 m2 consisting of ground floor, first floor and attic, constructed in stone and chestnut it has 7 bedrooms, lounge, bathroom, 3 pantries and a woodshed. The house retains its´ original ‘Llar’ (traditional area for cooking over an open fire.) with 2 bread ovens.
