This is a unique seafaring home, consisting of the two buildings shown in the photograph (the white one with blue trim and the one with the green gallery), connected inside by a split-level staircase.
Both properties are listed and protected as Historical Heritage. The house was fully restored in 2002 in compliance with conservation regulations and with full respect for its traditional character. In 2020, maintenance work was carried out on the interior and façade, and in 2025 the roof and green gallery were completely renovated. The structure of the house combines stone and wood in its floors and ceilings, and all the carpentry—inside and out—is also wood.
Situated right on the seafront, in the fishermen’s quarter of Santo Tomé, the house enjoys privileged views over the dock basin and the Ría de Arousa. It is fully furnished and equipped, with both a traditional wood-burning stove (with oven) and a natural gas kitchen, plus modern appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, countertop oven, and television). For heating, it offers a wood-burning stove/fireplace in the living room, the wood-burning stove in the kitchen, and low-consumption electric radiators (“blue heat”) in every room.
The house is located in Cambados, the capital of Albariño wine and a town declared a Site of Cultural Interest thanks to its beautiful historic center. The town offers all essential services (supermarkets, restaurants, visitable wineries, schools, bus station) and is very well connected: Sanxenxo, O Grove, and the island of A Toxa (beaches, spa, and golf courses – 15–20 min); Vilagarcía de Arousa (train station and marina – 15 min); Santiago de Compostela (international airport – 50 min).
This is a home with character and history, which we have built and lived in for many years. We are looking for long-term tenants (primary residence) who will value and care for it with the same affection as we have.
